2. Purposes

We collect your personal data to: (a) handle the contact or water-study request you send through the form, the phone, WhatsApp or email, the processing being essential for that; (b) if you send your CV, fill vacant posts; (c) if you have given us express consent, send you commercial and promotional communications about the company’s products or services and the Aguas SB digital newsletter; and (d) log the queries you make to the assistant and the configurator on the site (question, answer shown, rating and the navigation steps of that visit), without identifying data, to improve the service; that log is sent by internal email to the company. We do not use your data for automated decisions or to build profiles.

Header image by area: when a page loads, our server uses the IP address only to pick a water photograph of a broad area (Atlantic coast, Mediterranean or inland). The IP address is not stored, not linked to any person, not shared with third parties and not used for analytics or profiling. Local DB-IP database (CC BY 4.0 licence).

3. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent, given by ticking the acceptance box of this policy, and, in the case of a contact or quotation request, of pre-contractual measures at your request (art. 6.1.a and 6.1.b GDPR).

4. Retention

We will keep your data for as long as needed to handle your contact request or your application and, in any event, for a maximum of 5 years from collection, although you may withdraw your consent at any time. If you have consented to commercial communications or the newsletter, we will keep your contact data until you withdraw consent.

5. Recipients

The company’s team will take part in processing your data and, where applicable, professionals contracted by Aguas SB, S.L. for selection processes or for sending communications, who will process your data solely for the purposes set by the company and under the conditions imposed. We do not transfer your data to third parties except where legally required. Analytics and advertising services (Google) and the cookie-consent manager (Cookiebot) are activated only if you accept the corresponding cookies, and may involve international transfers under the safeguards provided by the GDPR.

Artificial intelligence, automated assistants and session recording

Artemisia, artificial-intelligence assistant. This website includes “Artemisia”, a conversational assistant based on artificial intelligence that gives guidance on water treatment from the information published by Aguas SB. To generate its answers, the text you type into the assistant is sent to Anthropic, PBC (provider of the Claude language model), which acts as data processor under its data-processing agreement and does not use those conversations to train its models. The assistant and its log are hosted on Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure (Workers and the D1 database), which likewise acts as data processor under its data-processing agreement; before sending, an automatic filter removes e-mail addresses, phone numbers and ID or account numbers that may appear in the text. Please do not include personal data in the assistant: to send us your contact details there is the study-request form, which is only sent when you decide. The assistant uses no cookies or identifiers; the conversation is kept only in your browser while the tab is open. To review the quality of the answers and to be able to show, should a complaint arise, exactly what was asked and what the assistant answered, we keep questions and answers for 12 months (no IP address or personal identifiers, after the filter described), with their date, channel (website or connector) and assistant version. Each record carries a digital fingerprint that shows it has not been altered; after 12 months it is deleted automatically. These records cannot identify you and are not matched with the form data. Legal basis: your voluntary request for guidance when using the assistant (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and Aguas SB’s legitimate interest in maintaining service quality and in establishing, exercising or defending legal claims (Art. 6.1.f). Artemisia can also be queried from third-party AI assistants through a connector; in that case, what you type into that third-party assistant is governed by that provider’s privacy policy, and Aguas SB only receives the query, answers with published information and keeps the query and the answer in the record described. The website configurator still runs on rules and texts prepared by Aguas SB, without sending anything to external services.

Internal use of artificial-intelligence tools. Aguas SB uses artificial-intelligence tools for internal tasks (drafting, analysis of anonymous queries, preparation of technical studies). Personal data you provide through the form or by e-mail is handled by our staff; it is not used to train third-party models and is not passed to AI providers without a legal basis and the safeguards of the GDPR.

Session recording and heat maps. We use Hotjar (Hotjar Ltd., Malta) to record anonymously how the pages are used (movements, clicks and scrolling) and to build heat maps, in order to improve the website. It is only activated with your express consent through the cookie banner (statistics category); Hotjar masks the text fields you type in and does not collect form data. Microsoft Clarity is disconnected.

Consent. Measurement and advertising tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads) start in a “denied” state until you accept in the banner; without your acceptance their cookies are not set.

6. Rights

You may exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing y portability, and to withdraw your consent, by emailing aguas.sb@aguassb.com or by post to Rúa Oliveira 96B, Pol. Ind. Novo Milladoiro, 15895 Ames (A Coruña), enclosing a copy of your national ID or equivalent. We will reply as soon as possible and, in any event, within one month. If you consider that your rights have not been met, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

The right to erasure also covers the log of questions and answers of the Artemisia assistant. Because that log holds no personal identifiers, to locate a query we need the approximate date and the text, or part of the text, of what was asked; with that we find it by its content and delete it.

7. Security

We collect, process and store your data applying information-security policies and rules, in electronic form and on paper, that guarantee confidentiality, integrity and availability. If a personal-data security breach occurred, we would notify the Spanish Data Protection Agency without undue delay and, where possible, within a maximum of 72 hours from becoming aware of it (art. 33 GDPR). Where the breach entailed a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we would also notify you without undue delay (art. 34 GDPR).

8. Cookies

The use of cookies is regulated in the Cookie policy, where you can set or withdraw your consent at any time.

9. Updates
